Choreographer-turned-hero Harikumar tasted success with his very first film ‘Thoothukudi’ where he played a rowdy. Now Harikumar has on the floors his second film as a hero. Titled ‘Thirutham’, it has him paired with Priyanka the actress from the Malayalam small screen who made her debut in Tamil as Pasupathi’s pair in ‘Veyil’.
‘Thirutham’ had its first stint of shooting at Ooty and its neighbourhood. Scenes where the lead pair go on a round of the hill station as tourists, admiring the scenic beauty were canned by cinematographer Jeevan. The happenings at Ooty form a turning point in the story, says its director Ponraman. The next schedule has been planned at locations in Chennai, Kerala, Goa and Bangalore. Two songs have also been picturised at Ooty. The film has music by Praveen Mani.
